Elizabeth Rose Murray writes for children, young adults, and adult audiences. Her books include the award-winning Nine Lives Trilogy and Caramel Hearts. Her debut, The Book of Learning - Nine Lives Trilogy 1 is currently being made into a TV series, and is also on the Junior Cycle English reading list. Recent anthology and journal publications include The Elysian: Creative Responses, Reading the Future, Autonomy, Popshots, Banshee, Terrain, Not Very Quiet, Ropes, and Tiny Essays. She lives in West Cork, Ireland.

Release Of Two Zoom Interviews
Josh Strider, better known online as PhantomStrider, is an Australian YouTuber who does Top 10 lists on cartoons and video games. He also has a second channel called LiveStrider, will be interviewed by Ren.
Oscar Ni Chinnéide from the band Aliens in Caves will be interviewed on zoom by Bee.

RUIN(ED)
Ruin(ed) is an all female three piece band. Emma is on bass guitar, Lucy on drums and Sadhbh on lead guitar and vocals.
ALIENSINCAVES
Aliensincaves are a four piece band from Waterford featuring talented lyricist Oscar (Ozzie) Ó Chinnéide on vocals, Daniel Heery on guitar, Ryan Coughlan on bass and David Herlihy on drums.
Saturday 16th Workshops
11am – 1pm Songwriting Workshop with Robert Power - St. Patrick's Gateway Centre
Robert has previously been selected for the RTÉ Radio 1 Playlist and Record Of The Day. Hot Press Magazine have described him as “powerful, heartfelt and thought-provoking”
This will be a hands on workshop and participants are encouraged to bring their instruments and songs. Robert will examine the creative practice of assembling ideas, sounds, images, rhythms, and written responses to ones environment which can be shaped as songs.
Venue: St. Patrick's Gateway Centre
2pm – 4pm Poetry workshop with Stephen James Smith (Central Library)
Stephen James Smith, born in Dublin, is an Irish poet, writer, performer, playwright, and educator. Their short poetry films have captivated millions, earning them the opportunity to perform alongside notable names like Eddie Vedder (Pearl Jam), Patti Smith, Bono (U2), Imelda May, and Glen Hansard. With close to 1,000 gigs worldwide over the past 20 years in locations from Ballydehob to Bangkok, and significant performances at venues like Glastonbury, the Radio City Music Hall, and the Nuyorican Poetry Café (New York), the Centre Culturel Irlandais (Paris), and the Barbican and Palladium (London).
Stephen will explore how he writes about people, places, friends & family and encouraging young people to have a go.
Venue: Central Library Reference Room 1st Floor.
2- 4pm Theatre Workshop with Robert Power (St. Patrick’s)
Robert Power is an Irish artist working in various mediums who is currently preparing to tour a brand new multi-disciplinary show titled A Version of Life, Robert’s music has previously been selected for the RTÉ Radio 1 Playlist and Record Of The Day.
As an actor, writer, director, producer and workshopping and development practitioner, Robert has proudly worked, trained or developed work with a wide range of companies on projects such as, Darkhorse’s Don’t Take Your Coat Off (Dublin Fringe Festival and National Tour), Curious State (St.Patrick’s Festival, Dublin) and Garter Lane’s A Little Room to name just a few.
This workshop he will examine the ongoing work of assembling ideas in response to ones environment which can be shaped as pieces of finished and presented work. it is aimed at Playwrights, Actors and Theatre Directors.

3.30pm to 5pm Printing workshop with artist Anne McDonnell (The Arch)
Anne McDonnell is a fine art printmaker
based in Waterford who works extensively in
fine art handprinted etchings, drypoints and
illustrations. She has work in many collections
and will be exhibiting her latest work at GOMA
Gallery on 30th November called ‘Nourish’

For over a year WYA members committee's have run a monthly Open Mic Night at various venues and for this event we will have two special guest MC's Robert Power will play a couple of songs and Stephen James Smith will perform a few poems

The Lit Festival Sunday 17th
3pm - Answer the Questions with playwright and director Jim Nolan and Mary Boland director of Theatre Royal – we explore how they got from secondary school into the arts world. This event is open to the public and all ages
Mary Boland has worked extensively in the theatre business since graduating with a Diploma in Theatre Studies from Trinity College in 1992. Areas of expertise include Venue Management, Theatre Producer, Producer and Coordinator of Young Peoples Theatre & Outreach projects, Event Management, Marketing.
Jim Nolan was born and lives in Waterford, he is a founder member and former Artistic Director of Red Kettle Theatre Company. He has also worked as a writer and director with Waterford Dramatic Society, Meridian Theatre Company, Field Day, TEAM Theatre, Rough Magic and Barnstorm. With year’s of experience in the industry and vast knowledge to share.
