Nicola Spendlove
Nicola Spendlove loves theatre. She is an award-winning playwright whose work for the stage has enjoyed critical and audience acclaim in both Waterford and her native Dublin. She has been delighted to receive council funding for original productions and also numerous residencies in Garter Lane's Little Room project to create new work.
Outside of writing for stage, Nicola enjoys all other aspects of theatre production. This year, Nicola co-founded Theatre Vamps alongside her friend and frequent co-writer Derek Flynn. Nicola is also a multi-award-winning actress with a long list of stage and screen credits.
Nicola recently returned to university to study creative writing thanks to the prestigious Ted & Mary O'Regan bursary and has since graduated with first-class honours. Nicola's workshop focuses on the fundamentals of converting an idea for a story into a living and breathing reality on the stage.
